Here is a tutorial showing a few steps I take to tweak a portrait… focusing mainly on what I look for and how to tackle wrinkles. Once again my go to tool is the Spot healing brush to begin with, but when dealing with large sections of similar texture, you will need to bring in the Healing brush to help smooth out the blotchiness. Don’t forget to check your corners and look for anything that will distract. I usually don’t put quite so dark a vignette, but with white area in the top right I thought it was a good trade off… yes I could have used an adjustment brush or even cloned out that area… but I wanted use this approach to re-enforce the lesson of dulling down the corners. Hope this helps.
