Simulating a Color Grad Filter

If you’ve never used a color grad filter before, imagine a piece of rectangular glass that you place in front of your lens while making an exposure.  The top half of the glass is tinted to impart color to the sky and the bottom half is clear and has no effect on the scene.  Photoshop’s Photo Filter adjustment layer makes it easy to add a color grad effect during post-production rather than having to carry a set of actual grads into the field.  Here’s how…
